The green glow in the sky is due to the airglow: heated by the Sun during the day, the air releases this energy in the form of light at night.

At the bottom of the valley, the lighting of Grimentz illuminates the forest, despite the partial extinction in place. On the left, the Dent Blanche appears in front of the halo of light pollution of Turin, 125 km away.
